Untitled (Mona Lisa)
“To what extent can language convey or capture the qualities of things that are not language – that is, what are the inherent limitations of using words to describe images?”
This project is mainly about language and images, I use language as a form of pictorial expression. I want to explore the intersection of linguistic and visual representation. To think about the acts of reading and looking, and representation and abstraction, and how they cross over. And also to question and explore our irrational trust in language and the world around us. How text trigger our memories about some specific images?
